Is Your Marketing On Track or Derailed Yet Again?

Posted: August 2nd 2011 in General

With the third quarter of 2011 quickly winding down, I thought it might be a good time to check up on those of you who made it your New Year’s resolution to become a better marketer before NEXT New Year’s rolls around! If you have been following our monthly e-newsletter I have no doubt you are beginning to see some positive changes; if not, let me remind you how important it is to be marketing consistently.

It happens all the time: many business owners get sidetracked with other pressing matters, like budgets and daily business tasks but when these items begin to fill your workload marketing gets pushed to the back burner because it seems less important. However, that is where business owners go wrong. While running your business is of course your first priority, following through with marketing should be close to the top of your to-do list.

For example, say you spent X amount of money revamping your website but did nothing to notify clients or prospects of the recent change. Well, because you didn’t follow through with your marketing initiative and send out an email announcing the new site and inviting clients and prospects to visit, no one will know all about your hard work, lowering your return on the major investment you just made.

Or take for example this scenario: you hire a marketing firm to develop a strategic marketing plan for the year. You spend two months editing and finalizing the plan that includes a month-by-month action plan and then sit it aside to start in the following week. In no time at all that marketing plan will be sitting under a stack of papers too intimidating to sort through, and the marketing plan you spent your hard-earned money on is now outdated because you didn’t take follow through.

If you’re having a hard time keeping your marketing efforts on track, JigSaw is here to help. We are experts at working with business owners who can frequently be the bottleneck to keep your project on time and on budget. So before 2011 is a distant memory, call us and see how we can help get your resolution back on track!
